Here Comes the V Chef’s Cycle!

Event already consolidated on the national scenery and recognized for gathering names of the gastronomic world scene in a meeting for a few, Ponta dos GanchosResort presents its calendar for the 5th Chef's Cycle, this time celebrating the Year of France in Brazil.

And to bring the French climate to the Resort and celebrate the gastronomic diversity between the two countries we will have the participation of true ambassadors of French cuisine, who brought their influence to our country to build a new history in the French-Brazilian scenario.

ERIC BERLAND – Parigi Restaurant, SP. - July 31 to August 02

In love with cuisine since very young, staged atLa Duchesse Anne and, in 1988, Berland experienced the direction, for six months, of the Club Méd cuisine. After returning to France, he opened his own restaurant, L'Amadeus and in 1996 returned to the Brazilian lands once received an invitation to run the Parigi, where he was acclaimed as one of the greatest Chefs in Brazil.

- Restaurant Parigi: Best Miscellaneous Restaurant, Veja São Paulo Magazine, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008;
- Second best Chef of Sao Paulo – Gula Magazine, 2005 and 2008.

EMMANUEL BASSOLEIL – Skye Restaurant, SP. - August 7th to 9th

Participating for the second time on the Chef’s Cycle, Emmanuel comes to repeat his acclaimed participation of 2005, one of the most important chefs of today's Nouvelle Cuisine, Bassoleil graduated at the Technical Hospitality School of Dijon, staged at Hostellerie du Château de Bellecroix and arrived in Brazil in 1987 with the knowledge of having worked with the most recognized names in the world and in the most starred French restaurants. In Brazil, for 14 years he was the chef-owner of the restaurant Roanne, in São Paulo.

Some Achievements...

- First Chef in Brazil to receive the honor Order of Academie Culinaire de France – 1998;
- Best Chef of the Year: Guia 4 Rodas – 2001;
- Personality of Gastronomy: Prazeres da Mesa Magazine – 2004;
- Skye was elected one of 9 best hotel restaurants in the world: Hotel’s Magazine – 2006.

ERICK JACQUIN - Restaurant La Brasserie, SP. - August 21st to 23rd

One of the most rewarded French chefs in action in Brazil, Jacquin studied at École Hôtelière Saint Amand Monrond, worked at the best restaurants in town as the Chardenoux and Le Toit de Passy, becoming a specialist in Foie Gras. He arrived in Brazil in 1995 to lead the Le Coq Hardy, where he gained the respect of the public and specialized critics. After going through the Antique Cafe, he brought to La Brasserie his authentic French cuisine, that aims for delicacy, special flavor and elaborated visual.

- 'Maitre Cuisiner de France', granted for the 1sttime to a chef in South America, 1998;
- Champion of the Champions: French Restaurant, Gula Magazine – 2009;
- The Best of Brazil: Chef of the Chefs, Veja Magazine – 2008;
- Chef of the year, Revista Veja - 2007 and 2008.

CLAUDE TROISGROS – Restaurant Olympe, RJ. - August 28th to 30th

Closing the Year of France in Brazil celebrations, another of the country’s French gastronomy icon will be present, for the 3rd time, at the Chef's Cycle. The Chef and presenter of the program “Menu Confiança”, from GNT, will enhance the guests dinners with his creations that mix French techniques to the exotic and tropical products, transforming these moments in unique experiences. Representing the third generation of cooks in the Troisgros family, Claude came to Brazil in 1979 and, since then, has established his unique concept of 'La Cuisine Creative Troisgros'.
